The C&C soft drink company was founded in 1852 by Dr. Thomas Cantrell and Sir Henry Cochrane in Ireland and operates today throughout Europe as the C&C Group.

One Hundred and three years later, in 1955, C&C came to America and was headed by Walter Mack, former President of Pepsi-Cola.  In 1962 Mr. Mack called upon John Ritchie a chemist from Pepsi-Cola to reformulate the C&C Cola brand.  Today we still enjoy the same great taste.

In 1968, C&C was sold to Mr. Charles Ferro and Mr. Alfred DiPasqua who later sold the brand to International Telephone & Telegraph (ITT) in 1976. ITT rolled out the “Bleep Bleep” television campaign in 1978 and positioned C&C for National distribution.  The New York market had attained a 14% share and 1979 saw the launch in Southern California.  C&C was on the move with its concept of “Warehouse Distribution”.  In 1982 ITT sold C&C to the Shasta division of Consolidated Foods Corporation.

Those who knew “C&C Charlie”, also knew he was not done and in 1984 he purchased back the C&C Cola Company with a “back to first principles” approach.  Mr. Ferro ran the operation for another twelve years before selling it off to Triarc Beverage Group (RC Cola) in 1994.

Today the C&C Cola Company is owned and managed by Kelco Sales & Marketing, Incorporated. Mr. Meyer Kelner, Chairman and Mr. Mitch Kelner, President have roots in the soft drink distribution business for nearly 35 years. The Kelners wanted to get “back to the basics” and that’s exactly what happened.  In 1998, the Pee Wee’z® brand was born and launched into a line of non-carbonated drinks. C&C Spring Water and the 24oz “single serve” package all rolled out in 1999.  Determined to complete their family of products, C&C launched the popular 2 for 98¢ juice drink line in 2003 and introduced some new flavors, such as: Watermelon, Red Candy Apple and Banana carbonated soft drinks.

The original concept of warehouse distribution still thrives today.  C&C has made their products available to Chain Markets, C Store and Mom & Pops by partnering with Wholesalers and Distributors.
